Israel Championship 2013

The Israel Championship took place from April 6th to 14th, 2013. It was won by GM Tamir Nabaty with 6.5/9 points, half a point more than his nearest rivals. Olga Vasiliev won the women's event with 7.0/9 points.

Akko (or English Acre) is a city in the Western Galilee region of northern Israel at the northern extremity of Haifa Bay. Acre is one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the country. The population is 46,000, of which 72 percent is Jewish and 28 percent Arab.
