WCCC 08-9: Shredder catches up with Junior

7/11/2004 – After the Sabbath rest day the World Computer Chess Championship in Ramat-Gan, Israel, had two rounds with no surprises. Junior and Fritz drew against each other, otherwise the favourites won all their games. All the games are being broadcast live on Playchess.com, with expert commentary by Boris Alterman. The Sunday schedule of the 12th World Computer Chess Championship brought us two rounds with no surprises. The three favourites Shredder, Junior and Fritz each dutifully won their games in round eight, while in the afternoon Junior and Fritz drew against each other (Shredder won again). After nine rounds Junior and Shredder are in the lead, followed by Fritz and Crafty.
