All games of all four ACP qualification tournaments have been exhaustively (and automatically) analysed, using advanced software to statistically identify the use of computer assistance. Suspicious cases are then manually checked by grandmasters.

Of the 71 participants two players, Ghaem Maghami and Arkadi Naiditsch, are strongly suspected of having used computer assistance. Both have been disqualified from this tournament. One further player has been suspected, but will only be admonished, because a reasonable doubt remained after manually analysing his games. There were no indications that any of the other 68 participants employed any form of computer assistance. Naiditsch was replaced by the sixth-placed player in Group 2, Evgeny Bareev (fifth was Ghaem Maghami).

In Group 1 Svetlana Matveeva is unable to play, having to travel to the Russian Team Championship. Viorel Iordachescu also has problems as he will be on a plane flight to the Dubai Open at the time of the finals. In order to replace them there was a play-off on Friday between the runners-up Sergey Volkov, Sasikiran, Alexey Dreev and Luke McShane, all of whom had scored 11 points. The winners and qualifiers for the finals were Dreev and Volkov.

The finals on Saturday will be held in the form of a match-knockout tournament. In the first two rounds each match will last four games, in the semifinal and final the matches will last six games each. In the case of a tie a tiebreak-game will be played. Here white will have six minutes versus five without any increment. White needs a win to win the match. In all other games the time-control is 5+1. The schedule:

16.00 CEST (server time, GMT +2) Greeting and 1st round
17.15 CEST (server time, GMT +2) Second round
18.30 CEST (server time, GMT +2) Semifinal
20.00 CEST (server time, GMT +2) Final
