Career highlights
I attribute my role in team successes as my most important achievements. As a member of the Armenian team since 1975, I have earned the bronze medal at the Olympiad (1992, 2002), twice the bronze medalists at the World Team Champion (1997, 2001) and the 1999 European Team Champion. I have also been a member of the European Club Champion (1986, 1988, 1994, 1995). In addition, I have won several international tournaments.

Goals
I have always endeavored to promote and popularize chess. Two years ago, I founded the Chess Academy of Armenia with the intention of providing a nurturing environment for young chessplayers in Armenia. Currently I am the president of the Academy which has successfully organized two international tournaments (in Yerevan and in Stepanakert) and several training sessions both in and out of Armenia.

Hobbys
I enjoy playing many other sports including football, tennis, swimming, and jogging. I also enjoy music, particularly classical music. Finally I appreciate quality time spent with family as well as time with friends.
