ChessBase live broadcast

General Instructions

We would like to draw your attention to some of the features of the Flash client:

  1. The recorder buttons below the notation are self-explanatory: you can start or pause an automatic replay, move one move forward or backwards, jump to the start or end of the game, switch the sound effects on or off and download a pgn file with the current status of the games.

  2. The arrow keys on your keyboard can be used to manually replay or retract moves. Ctrl + Arrow keys go to the beginning or end of the game. You can also click on the moves in the notation window on the right to jump to any position in the game. Pressing 'x' on your keyboard will flip the board.

  3. To load a new game click on the tab on the top right. To get rid of the games list (without loading a new game) click on the tab again, or any empty space on the list area. You can switch between games using the Page Up/Down keys for the previous/next game.

  4. Material balance: this is displayed below the notation. In the following example it shows that White has a queen for rook and knight (with equal pawns).

There will be changes to the Flash client as the event progresses.
